Daddy's Girl...

Zak has been working in New Mexico the last few weeks and will be home soon, but not soon enough.  Kit and I have been busy with Christmas events and playing with our family, but the last few days have really been tough on Kit and I.  We both miss Daddy!
Kathryn is usually such a fun and happy girl who hardly ever whines and lately I think her smiles and giggles are hard to come by. I was thinking it was a cold or teething, but she seems to be healthy as a horse. Tonight we had a nice "Chilton Cousin" dinner and Kathryn was soooo cranky.  She just cried and cried.  Teya offered to give her a bath so I could get a little break, but she threw a FIT!!

Finally when we got her out of the bath Teya turned to me and said, "Kat, go call Zak and have him just talk to her for a little while." I went to my room and the both of us called Daddy with tears in our eyes and voice.  I put it on speaker phone and gave Kit her nightly rub-down and Zak just talked to her. It was an absolute miracle.  She calmed down immediately.  She just totally relaxed
and listened to her dad tell her how much he loved and missed her. He truly is such a great dad.  I wanted to show you just a few little pictures of Kit with her Hero....

We miss you so much babe and cannot WAIT until you come home to us!

Ohhh I am so sorry Lon! It's so hard having a cranky toddler and not be able to do anything to make them happy. :( She is lucky she has such a great mommy home with her though. I bet its hard not having Zak around, especially this time of year but it will definitely pay off Im sure! Call me if you ever need to just get out, you know I am home all day! Love ya Lon!
